GLAMPIRE SPOOKY BOUDOIR SESSION IN HOME STUDIO
I seriously have not been able to get enough spooky boudoir, and I’m already looking forward to similar creative projects next year. Who else is excited?!
This fall, my muse flew in from Florida and booked a private spooky boudoir session. We knew for a few weeks that we wanted to do a glam vampire concept, and Stephanie brought all kinds of goodies for us to utilize. She brought the perfect variety of outfits — full coverage with a dress, medium coverage with the slip over her lingerie, and a super cool strapy piece — as well as numerous accessories and props.
First we utilized the new smoke bomb add-on and we shot outside with a couple different smoke colors. This helped us warm up, get in the spooky zone, and added a fun creative flare to the set of images. We then moved the rest of the shoot indoors where we shot a sexy set in the home studio, and then wrapped up with shots in the bath. SUCH a stellar time!
Not only were these spooky boudoir shoots insanely fun, but they allowed an opportunity for me to get out of my present comfort zone. I’m learning more about shooting in moody, low-light situations and I’ve been experimenting with colored lights. For Stephanie’s vampire session I used only red light for the first time, which I was somewhat nervous about. She and I both were pretty stoked with the results though! What do you all think about it?
